Hubcab
"HubCab" by MIT Senseable Lab is an interactive map that captures the more than 170 million unique taxi trips that were made by around 13,500 taxi cabs within the City of New York in 2011. This visualization allows the user to understand how and when taxis pick up or drop off individuals and to identify zones of condensed pickup and dropoff activities. The user can navigate to the places where his/her taxi trips start and end and to discover how many other people in his/her area follow the same travel patterns. There is also information about cost, CO2 emissions, etc.
