Gauging Your Distraction
This newsgame by the New York Times asks users to drive and text simultaneously, requiring the user to do both tasks well. The game consists on changing lanes (1 through 6) using the keyboard, while reading text messages and answering subsequently sending correctly spelled answers to those messages. At the end of the game, the user finds out his/her reaction time and how it compares to the averages. The game was designed to demonstrate the potential impact of external distractions such as texting on the one's driving ability.
