Chatty Maps

This map visualization visualizes the sounds that can be heard in each street in London, Barcelona, Madrid, New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington, Miami, San Francisco, Seattle, Milan, and Rome. The map presents the streets colored in the color of the most prominent sound that can be heard there: blue for human-related sounds, red for transportation, green for nature, yellow for music, and grey for construction. By clicking on a street the user can see the breakdown of its soundscape and the emotions that those sounds evoke.
