This visualization by The Wall Street Journal allows users to track unemployment rate in th US month by month since 1948 and the number of sectors gaining or losing jobs. The user can hover the different sectors on the table on the bottom of the page and see those sectors highlighted on the timeline and understand if that sector rose or fell from February 2009 to January 2015. The user can also reorganize each chart by monthly change, by percentage of monthly change, by number of months rising and by number of months falling.
